Visit the quaint little town of Gilbert and Buffalo Camping and Canoeing for canoes, cabins, a campground and RV park, and the old Gilbert General Store. Mac at Silver Hill Canoe Rental can fix you up for a canoe, kayak, or raft float trip. They're conveniently located right next to the Tyler Bend access to the national park. Go to a drive-in movie! Bet you've never been to one, or it has been a long time. First run movies and an old-fashioned snack bar. Kenda Drive-In has been there since my mom was in high school. Take a short day trip! Mountain View is only about an hour away. You'll want to go to the historic square filled with shops, especially Mountain View Music. |
