About Us Big Springs is a family business! Comitted to keeping the Ozarks hickory smoked meats tradition alive and growing, Big Springs Trading Company is located in the heart of the Ozarks in Buffalo River country. Our local customers (some of whom we're related to) are the heart of our business. We can't express how much we appreciate everyone who chooses to eat here with us instead of going into Harrison or Marshall, and those who buy their meats here instead of at a big grocery store. We're dedicated to bringing you a great product every time, along with friendly service from people you know and trust. Of course, we love meeting new people, too. Many customers make it a point to stop in and see us when they pass through, especially on their way to Branson, Eureka Springs, or Mountain Home. | A note about our name . . . Lots of people ask where our company name came from. A few years ago, we ran a little diner in a town called Newnata, Arkansas. Our good friend Josh Avey's family has lived there for many years. A great big natural spring comes up on his family's place, thus the name, and since it was the local gathering spot, we chose the name for our company. We've kept it ever since.
